Bru McCoy is looking to leave USC just weeks after committing to the Trojans. The five-star wideout from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., already has enrolled at USC after making his commitment on Jan. 5. He was rated the ninth-best player overall for the 2019 class, per the 247Sports composite. His decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal comes on the heels of former USC offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury leaving to join the Arizona Cardinals after less than a month on the job. The Kingsbury hire reportedly had swayed McCoy to commit to USC. According to multiple reports, McCoy is interested in joining the Texas Longhorns — who were on his short list along with USC. He’ll reportedly be on campus next week. Per NCAA rules, McCoy would have to sit out a season after transferring.
