Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward Kevin Love could be sidelined up to one month by a painful toe injury that originated during preseason.
Love, according to ESPN, is scheduled to consult with doctors to consider short-term solutions. However, intense pain combined with an 0-6 start make it unlikely Cleveland will push him back on the court.
The Cavaliers are in a tailspin and fired coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday. Love played in the past two losses and is averaging 19.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.
Love, 30, signed a four-year, $120 million this summer after LeBron James left the Cavaliers in free agency.
