Derek has been in the sports media industry since the mid-90s, when he worked as a stringer for several newspapers while at the University of Miami. He joined SportsLine USA in 1997 and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1999 with CBSSports.com purchasing the company and opening a West Coast Bureau. His experience includes working with Microsoft, Sony Entertainment and EA Sports and The Sports Xchange, for whom he served as COO for more than a decade before joining OneUp Sports as Vice President of Content Strategy & Development.
Derek has deep ties throughout the media industry, with a proven track record of providing thought leadership in the ever-evolving digital content space. He has collaborated on product development and negotiated licensing deals with Reuters, Nielsen, CBS Sports, STATS Inc., Sportradar, Gannett, Microsoft, Yahoo! and FOX Sports, along with numerous others. He has a passion for all levels of the sports content pipeline, and enjoys collaborative efforts to bring compelling content to readers.
Jeff is a graduate of Western Illinois University and cut his teeth in the sports media industry as an NFL editor for Pro Football Weekly. After a decade working as the Managing Editor for TSX, Jeff joined Field Level Media as a co-founder and COO. He has a wealth of experience managing hundreds of writers and editors around the country as well as working daily with editorial departments and content managers for major clients.
