Indiana sophomore forward De’Ron Davis will be sidelined indefinitely with a lower-leg injury, Hoosiers coach Archie Miller said Friday.
Davis suffered the injury during Thursday’s practice, according to Miller.
“It was a non-contact injury, but he’ll be out indefinitely until we have a 100-percent clear indication of it,” Miller said during a news conference shortly before the team departed for its game Saturday at Minnesota.
“Obviously we’re moving forward as a group, and as we head to Minnesota, we know we have a heck of a challenge.”
Davis is averaging 9.6 points and 4.3 rebounds and has started all 15 games this season. He is shooting a team-high 61.5 percent from the field. Indiana is currently 8-7 overall and 1-2 in the Big Ten.
