Brandon Ingram was diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis and is done for the season, the Los Angeles Lakers announced Saturday.
Ingram was sidelined the past two games and testing revealed DVT in his right arm.
The Lakers could look to move on from the No. 2 overall pick in 2016. The 21-year-old is considered a valuable trade chip as Los Angeles looks to acquire a marquee sidekick to team with LeBron James.
Already James has been placed on a minutes limit and will not play both ends of back-to-back games for the remainder of the 2018-19 season.
Ingram averaged 18.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season.
He was reportedly part of the package the Lakers offered the New Orleans Pelicans for All-Star Anthony Davis.
