GG Expo, a new convention focused on the esports industry and its surrounding community, will launch in Bellevue, Wash. this May, according to the Esports Observer.

"We're bringing together some of the brightest players and managers in esports from around the world that represent professional, university and high school levels of the esports community," Joe English, Executive Director of GG Expo Inc, said in a statement. "GG Expo is going to be a very different kind of experience for esports players and fans, allowing them to really connect as a community."

The three-day event will feature different themes each day, each one centered on a specific genre of the industry: sports and fighting games, fantasy-themed games and finally, battle games.

Several esports pros and figures will be at the convention -- including the Lenovo Silver Snipers, a Swedish CS:GO team comprising only players over age 60 -- and there will also be a cosplay contest.

The event will run from May 26-28 at the Meydenbauer Center and Seattle Bellevue Marriott Hotel.
