Oklahoma sophomore running back Trey Sermon suffered a right knee injury during the school's spring football game on Saturday.

Sermon was injured when tackled by freshman safety Patrick Fields after an 11-yard gain. He was helped off by the school's training staff and taken to the locker room.

"We'll look at Trey Sermon. I don't think it's serious," Sooners coach Lincoln Riley said in a press conference following the spring game. They'll evaluate him further but I think early indications look positive."

Sermon rushed for 744 yards and five touchdowns in 2017 as a freshman. He also caught 16 passes for 139 yards and another two scores.

Sermon is Oklahoma's second-best running back behind standout junior Rodney Anderson (1,161 yards, 13 touchdowns).
