Dallas dumps Revolution, 1-0

Jacori Hayes scored his first career MLS goal in the 76th minute to help FC Dallas post a 1-0 victory over the New England Revolution on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
The 22-year-old Hayes received a pass from fellow midfielder Roland Lamah while stationed in the center of the box. He turned and sent a left-footed shot past Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner.
Jimmy Maurer made six saves while recording his second shutout of the season for FC Dallas (2-0-3).
The victory was FC Dallas' seventh in a row over New England. FCD are 8-1-2 over their past 11 matches with the Revolution.
New England had an 11-match home unbeaten streak -- a stretch that included nine victories -- come to an end.
The Revolution (3-2-1) out shot FC Dallas 21-11, including a 15-5 edge in the second half.
Turner made four saves for New England.
The Revolution held possession for nearly 63 percent of the match but were unable to get the equalizer in the latter moments, which included four minutes of stoppage time. Midfielder Diego Fagundez sent a shot toward in the goal in the 89th minute, but it sailed high and wide to the right.
FC Dallas, which was playing its first road match of the season, had an opportunity to take a two-goal lead in the 81st minute, but Turner saved a header by forward Cristian Colman.
New England's best chance in the second half occurred when Fagundez had his right-footer from just outside the box go wide left in the 64th minute.
Both teams took six shots during a scoreless first half in which New England possessed the ball 60 percent of the time.
Neither team got off a shot over the first 15 minutes before FC Dallas had a chance on a header by Colman in the 16th minute with Turner making the save.
The Revolution finally had a stellar opportunity in the 23rd minute as forward Teal Bunbury's header looked primed to sneak under the bar, but Maurer got his left hand up to deflect it over the post.
Lamah sent a left-footed blast in on goal in the 40th minute, but Turner made the save.
New England had a chance in the 43rd minute, but midfielder Scott Caldwell's left-footer was saved by Maurer.
