Redshirt freshman quarterback Lowell Narcisse and Justin McMillan announced within 24 hours of each other that they’re transferring from LSU.
Narcisse, a high school All-American in St. James, La., announced via Twitter he was leaving the university to seek an opportunity to play elsewhere.
“After sitting down and talking with my family I’ve decided the best thing for my future is transfer and get a fresh start and be able to have an opportunity to showcase my abilities. I will forever represent the Boot,” he wrote.
On Wednesday, McMillan followed suit via Twitter: “Thank you LSU! Today, I gratefully and gracefully say thank you and farewell to my LSU family. I am grateful for the opportunity I was given for my life’s journey to attend LSU and be a part of a football legacy. I (am) grateful that Coach Les Miles and Coach Cam Cameron believed enough in me to allow me to learn under their watchful eyes. I’m grateful to have met and made lifelong friends at LSU. I am grateful for the support and love of my family, who stressed and kept me focused on education. I am grateful for the life lessons I have learned and will take forward with me as I continue on my journey.”
