The NBA 2K League combine will run from Feb. 2-21 and be held entirely in-game, available only to players who win 50 games during the League qualifier in January.
Eligible players who win at least 50 games will be able to apply online in February, and will see a new menu item called “NBA 2K League Combine” within the game.
The announcement was made Friday, along with additional details about the combine being held ahead of the May launch of the NBA 2K League. Players must be at least 18 years old during the 2018 calendar year and either be a high school graduate or part of a class that would have graduated high school this year.
The League has also expanded the player pool from 85 to 102 to allow for roster flexibility among the 17 NBA franchises that have teams in the inaugural 2K League season. All teams will have six players.
“During the combine, the NBA 2K League will measure high-level statistics such as points, rebounds, and assists, as well as more in-depth statistics such as shot release time, pass to assist, and block efficiency,” the league announced in a release. “Following the combine, all player information will be evaluated and used to determine the top 102 players available for the draft.”
During the combine, all players must complete a minimum of 40 games using their primary position during 12 announced playing windows:
2/2 – 8pm to 12am ET
2/3 – 2pm to 8pm ET
