The Los Angeles Lakers acquired the 39th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft from the Philadelphia 76ers for a 2019 second-round pick and cash.
ESPN first reported the deal, which arms Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka with picks No. 25, 39 and 47 on Thursday.
Since acquiring the 25th overall pick at the trade deadline in the swap with Cleveland for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. that brought back Channing Frye and Isaiah Thomas, the Lakers have been looking to acquire additional picks.
The Lakers’ original first-round pick, No. 10 overall, belongs to the Sixers as a result of the 2012 trade that brought Steve Nash to Los Angeles.
