A group of injuries has forced Luke Rockhold out of the UFC 230 co-main event against Chris Weidman on Nov. 3.
Rockhold (16-4) is dealing with an infection in his surgically repaired left shin, a sprained right knee and a broken nose, the fighter told ESPN.
He said doctors have told him to expect a four-week recovery.
The UFC will keep Weidman (14-3) in the bout, but will instead pair him with Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.
Souza had been scheduled to fight David Branch, who instead will take on Jared Cannonier for the card at Madison Square Garden.
Daniel Cormier will defend his heavyweight title for the first time against Derrick Lewis in the marquee fight.
