Tiger Woods served as an assistant to captain Steve Stricker for the United States’ resounding victory at the Presidents Cup last week, and new girlfriend Erica Herman was on-hand to take in the experience.
Herman, 33, walked much of Friday’s round with Woods and mingled with Jordan Spieth’s long-time girlfriend, Annie Verret. While the relationship has not been publicly confirmed by either side, Herman also wore a “player spouse” credential that is generally received for a wife or girlfriend of the event’s players and captains, according to Golf.com.
Herman was identified on TigerWoods.com in February as the general manager of Wood’s Jupiter, Fla. eatery, The Woods. She attended the opening ceremonies and was photographed at the Presidents Cup along with several players’ wives and girlfriends and the three former U.S. presidents who were in attendance Thursday.
Woods, 41, split from girlfriend Kristin Smith last year, following a well-documented long-term relationship with skier Lindsey Vonn that ended in May 2015. Woods shares daughter Sam and son Charlie with ex-wife Elin Nordegren.
Woods announced earlier last week that he is ‘optimistic’ about his eventual return to competitive golf, but that here is no timetable and that he still faces an uncertain playing future.
