Fresh off their first World Series title in 32 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers are already favored to repeat in 2021.
The Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 on Tuesday night to secure their first championship since 1988. Numerous sportsbooks have already installed them as the heavy favorites for next season, including PointsBet installing the Dodgers as +375 favorites while BetMGM and SportsBetting.com had Los Angeles listed at +400 on Tuesday night.
The New York Yankees are the second favorites at all three sportsbooks: +600 by BetMGM and +700 by PointsBet and SportsBetting.com.
The books differ on the biggest threat to the Dodgers in the National League, with BetMGM offering the Atlanta Braves at +800 while PointsBet.com and SportsBetting.com listed the San Diego Padres with the second shortest odds in the NL at +750 and +800, respectfully.
The Rays are the second favorites in the AL at +1000 by PointsBet and SportsBetting.com. However, PointsBet is also offering the Minnesota Twins at +1000, while BetMGM is offering the Chicago White Sox at +100 compared to the Twins and Oakland Athletics at +1600.
