Dodgers early betting favorites to repeat as World Series champs

Fresh off their first World Series title in 32 years, the Los Angeles Dodgers are already favored to repeat in 2021.

The Dodgers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 6 on Tuesday night to secure their first championship since 1988.



Numerous sportsbooks have already installed them as the heavy favorites for next season, including PointsBet installing the Dodgers as +375 favorites while BetMGM and SportsBetting.com had Los Angeles listed at +400 on Tuesday night.

The New York Yankees are the second favorites at all three sportsbooks: +600 by BetMGM and +700 by PointsBet and SportsBetting.com.

The books differ on the biggest threat to the Dodgers in the National League, with BetMGM offering the Atlanta Braves at +800 while PointsBet.com and SportsBetting.com listed the San Diego Padres with the second shortest odds in the NL at +750 and +800, respectfully.

The Rays are the second favorites in the AL at +1000 by PointsBet and SportsBetting.com. However, PointsBet is also offering the Minnesota Twins at +1000, while BetMGM is offering the Chicago White Sox at +100 compared to the Twins and Oakland Athletics at +1600.
