The Houston Rockets reportedly will acquire veteran center Derrick Favors and three other players from the Oklahoma City Thunder in an eight-player deal.
The Rockets also will get a 2025 second-round pick, along with Ty Jerome, Moe Harkless and Theo Maledon, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Thursday night.
The Thunder will receive David Nwaba, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss, Wojnarowski reported.
The Thunder will also get two draft exceptions and save $1 million in salary — dropping the team about $10 million under the luxury tax, per Wojnarowski.
Favors, 31, has averaged 10.6 points and 7.1 rebounds in a 13-year career. He tallied 5.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 39 games in 2021-22, his only season with the Thunder. Houston will be his fourth team in four seasons.
Harkless has been traded twice this week. The Thunder acquired him from the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.
Harkless, 29, has played 10 seasons in the NBA, and the Rockets will be his eighth team (counting Atlanta, for whom he never actually played). He averaged 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds for the Sacramento Kings last season. He also has played for the Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks and Miami Heat.
