The Houston Rockets and center Bruno Fernando agreed to a four-year contract worth $10.9 million, his agents told multiple outlets Sunday.
Fernando was on a two-way contract, which the Rockets will convert into the new agreement.
A second-round pick by Philadelphia in 2019, Fernando never played for the 76ers. The Sixers traded his rights to the Atlanta Hawks, where he spent the first two seasons of his career. He was dealt to the Boston Celtics before the 2021-22 season and packaged with Enes Freedom and Dennis Schroder to Houston for Daniel Theis in February.
Fernando has averaged 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 9.2 minutes per game over 119 career games (13 starts). But in 10 appearances for Houston late last season, he posted averages of 6.9 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.
