Bucks G Bledsoe expected to miss at least 2 weeks

Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe is expected to miss at least two weeks because of a right fibula avulsion fracture, according to a published report.

Bledsoe sustained the injury Friday when he collided with teammate Wesley Matthews. He went to the locker room and did not return, but he told reporters after the game that he hoped the injury would not keep him out.

The Bucks learned the extent of the injury after Bledsoe underwent an MRI and visited with team physician William Raasch, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Bledsoe, 30, is averaging 15.0 points, 5.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds in 26 games this season.

“It’s tough,” Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo told the paper. “One of the best players on the team. He’s been playing amazing. Not just this winning streak, he’s been playing amazing the whole season.”

Milwaukee has won 18 consecutive games and leads the Eastern Conference with a 24-3 record.
