T1 recorded a 3-0 sweep of Top Esports on Sunday to advance to the grand final at the $5 million League of Legends 2025 World Championship in Shanghai.
South Korean Sang-hyeok “Faker” Lee was the MVP for T1, which posted a 30-minute win on blue and 27- and 29-minute victories on red to set up an encounter versus KT Rolster in the Nov. 9 grand final in Chengdu. The winning team will take home $1 million.
The 17-team tourney began in Beijing with the Swiss Stage on Oct. 14. Eight teams reached the Knockout Stage in Shanghai, a single-elimination bracket in which all matches are best-of-five.
