MOUZ defeated Team Falcons 3-1 to win the $1.25 million Counter-Strike: Global Offensive PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025 title in Romania on Sunday.
MOUZ claimed the event’s top prize of $400,000, while the Falcons settled for $187,500.
Earlier in the day, Astralis defeated FaZe Clan 2-1 in the third-place match.
Sixteen teams started the competition on Feb. 14. The top eight teams advanced through the group stage to a single-elimination playoff bracket. All matches were best-of-three until Sunday’s best-of-five grand final.
MOUZ and the Falcons split the first two maps. MOUZ won 13-6 on Dust II, but the Falcons took Mirage 13-4. The next two maps were closer calls, with MOUZ winning 13-11 on Nuke and 13-9 on Ancient.
Dorian “xertioN” Berman of Israel led the winner with 64 kills and a plus-13 in kills vs. deaths. Teammate and countryman Lotan “Spinx” Giladi was at 61 and plus-12. Rene “TeSeS” Madsen of Denmark paced the Falcons with 63 kills and a plus-10.
The earlier match began with high drama as FaZe Clan won the first map, Mirage, 28-24 in quintuple overtime. Astralis recovered to win 13-8 on Inferno and clinch on Ancient 13-9.
Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard led the all-Danish Astralis squad with a whopping 82 kills and a plus-27. Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski of the U.S. led FaZe with 73 kills, and David “frozen” Cernansky of Slovakia was the only team member to have a plus figure at plus-1.
