Tundra, Falcons advance in Fissure Playground Belgrade playoffs

Tundra Esports and Team Falcons advanced to the upper-bracket final of the $1 million Fissure Playground Belgrade event with sweeps in Wednesday’s action in Serbia.

Tundra defeated Team Spirit and Falcons beat BetBoom Team by 2-0 scores in the upper-bracket semifinals.

The Dota tournament began on Jan. 24 with 16 teams competing in the group stage. The top eight teams moved on to the double-elimination playoffs. All playoff matches are best-of-three except for the grand final on Sunday, which will be best-of-five.

Tundra Esports won in 38 minutes on green and 41 minutes on red, while Team Falcons prevailed in 48 minutes on green and 52 minutes on red.

Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov of Bulgaria posted an average 10.0/1.5/10.0 kill-death-assist ratio for Tundra. Leading the way for Falcons was Slovakia’s Oliver “skiter” Lepko with a ratio of 10.0/2.5/23.5.

Action resumes Friday with three lower-bracket matches:

–Talon Esports vs. Team Liquid (first round)
–BetBoom Team vs. HEROIC/PARIVISION winner (quarterfinals)
