Kansas, Gonzaga co-favorites for NCAA Tournament

With no clear-cut top team in college basketball, the Kansas Jayhawks and Gonzaga Bulldogs have emerged as slight favorites to win the NCAA Tournament.

Kansas is the +800 favorite at PointsBet, followed by Gonzaga (+900), Baylor (+1000) and Duke (+1100). DraftKings Sportsbook leans the other way, installing Gonzaga at +800 and Kansas at +900, while Baylor and Duke are offered at +1100 each.

FanDuel Sportsbook calls it even, posting the Jayhawks and Bulldogs at +900 each. The Bears and Blue Devils are close behind at +1000.

Each sportsbook then has a drop-off to the next team. All three sites list Dayton at +1500, with Louisville posted with the same odds at DraftKings and PointsBet.

San Diego State (26-0) is the only undefeated team in the country and ranked No. 4 in the AP poll, although betting skeptics remain. The Aztecs are offered at +2200 on DraftKings, behind 11 other teams, including unranked Michigan State (+2000).

Dayton forward Obi Toppin has overtaken Iowa center Luka Garza as the favorite for the John R. Wooden Award as the national player of the year, according to DraftKings, which puts him at +100. Toppin entered the week averaging 19.7 points and 7.8 rebounds, shooting 63.0 percent from the field.

Garza, last week’s betting favorite, is at +115 on DraftKings and is seemingly making this a two-man race. San Diego State’s Malachi Flynn is running third at +350, followed by Oregon State’s Payton Pritchard and Baylor’s Jared Butler at +400.
