Golden State forward Kevin Durant reportedly is traveling with the team to Toronto, indicating he could return from his calf injury for Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Sunday. Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports The Warriors have ruled the two-time Finals MVP out for Thursday night’s series opener against the Raptors. “KD’s not playing Game 1. I think we already announced that,” coach Steve Kerr said Monday after practice. “We’ll see where it goes from here. This is where the fact that there’s a lot of days in between games during the Finals helps us, so we’ll see.” Citing a league source, Yahoo Sports reported Tuesday that the 30-year-old Durant will accompany the team to Toronto. The 10-time All-Star injured his right calf on May 8 during Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets. He missed the entire four-game sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers in the West finals. Durant has averaged 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 11 games this postseason. –Field Level Media (@FieldLevelMedia)
