UConn star Megan Walker will give up her final season of eligibility and enter the 2020 WNBA Draft.
The 6-foot-1 junior forward announced her decision Saturday on Twitter.
"Due to the unfortunate circumstances that caused the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament, it saddens me that I was not able to finish my junior season in the way that I would have liked," she wrote. "I am, however, ready to move on to the next phase of my life and career."
Walker averaged 19.7 points and 8.4 rebounds in 32 games (31 starts) for the 29-3 Huskies in 2019-20.
She earned American Athletic Conference Player of the Year honors and was named most outstanding player of the AAC tournament.
