Cleveland State women's basketball head coach Chris Kielsmeier tested positive for coronavirus, the school announced on its website Saturday evening.
According to the announcement, it is the first case of the virus that has been confirmed on the school's campus.
"It has been a very challenging couple of days," Kielsmeier said in the announcement. "I am beginning to feel better and look forward to getting back to 100 percent."
The school has suspended all non-essential operations on campus, with a plan to have student classes held online through at least April 10.
Kielsmeier is in his second season coaching the Vikings, who went 21-11 this year and reached the Horizon League conference semifinals. He has gone 31-31 through two seasons with the team.
According to the Ohio Department of Health, there are 26 confirmed cases of the virus in the state, but it's unclear if that tally includes Kielsmeier.
