Forward P.J. Horne, who entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week, is moving on to Georgia, according to multiple reports on Wednesday.

Horne played three seasons at Virginia Tech. As a graduate transfer, he will be eligible immediately for the Bulldogs.

Horne is a native of Georgia, who played his high school basketball at Tift County High School. The 6-foot-6 Horne was a three-star recruit in the Class of 2017.

As a junior in 2019-20, Horne averaged 7.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

He becomes the third graduate transfer to join the Bulldogs ahead of the 2020-21 season. Stony Brook forward Andrew Garcia and guard Justin Kier from George Mason previously transferred to Georgia.

The Bulldogs were 16-16 last season but near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference standings with a 5-13 record. They are losing freshman shooting guard Anthony Edwards, who is projected as the No. 1 pick in many mock NBA drafts. Forward Rayshaun Hammonds, their second-leading scorer from 2019-20, also entered the draft.
