MIBR confirm LUCAS1’s departure

MIBR have confirmed the departure of Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles after just six months with the Brazilian team.

“Today we say goodbye to the QueOta ambassador @LUCAS1, thank you for all the friendship and hype!,” MIBR tweeted.

The team is expected to replace LUCAS1 with Ignacio “meyern” Meyer from the Sharks, according to multiple reports. An announcement could come as soon as Thursday with MIBR at the cs_summit 5.

LUCAS1, 24, initially joined MIBR on loan from Luminosity in June, then replaced Joao “felps” Vasconcellos on a permanent basis. However, his final appearance with the team would prove to be the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals, where MIBR finished a disappointing 9-12th.

MIBR, currently ranked No. 11 by HLTV.org, have qualified for the first Major of next year – ESL One Rio 2020 – via their 12th-14th finish at the StarLadder Major.

The remaining roster consists of: Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, Fernando “fer” Alvarenga, Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe and felps as a substitute.
