Michigan closes on title favorites Gonzaga, Baylor

Isaiah Livers

Michigan jumped to No. 2 in the polls and has closed the gap on Baylor in the latest NCAA Tournament odds.

The red-hot Wolverines face Illinois and rival Michigan State twice this week to end the regular season. Michigan is now +360 at FanDuel, just behind Baylor (+350) and Gonzaga (+250), to win the NCAA championship.

DraftKings lists all three teams — Michigan, Gonzaga and Baylor — at -10000 to earn a No. 1 seed in the tournament. As of Tuesday morning, Alabama (+200) was the favorite for the fourth No. 1 seed in the tournament via DraftKings.

The rest of the field has been distanced from the lead pack by oddsmakers.

DraftKings odds include Baylor and Gonzaga even at +275 to win the tournament and Michigan third at +375 ahead of Villanova (+1100), Iowa (+1300) and Ohio State (+1500).

FanDuel lists Villanova fourth in its updated championship odds at +1300, with Houston at +1800 and the Big Ten triumvirate of Illinois, Ohio State and Iowa all at +1800.

The next grouping is Alabama and Florida State, the likely regular-season champions in the SEC and ACC, respectively, at +2000.
