Kirk Cousins agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings worth $66 million.
Cousins was entering the final year of this three-year deal with a maximum value of $84 million.
The extension reduces Cousins’ cap number and provides flexibility for the Vikings to add to the roster.
Including the existing year on his deal — 2020 — and the two-year extension, Cousins is in line to make $61 million guaranteed and a grand sum of $96 million.
Agent Mike McCartney announced Cousins’ new deal via Twitter.
