CF Montreal announced the return of defender Gabriele Corbo on Monday.
Corbo rejoined the MLS club on a transfer from Italy’s Bologna FC and signed a two-year contract that includes an option for 2025.
The 23-year-old Italian appeared in 14 matches (13 starts) with Montreal in 2022 while on loan from Bologna.
“We are very happy to have Gabriele back with us, but this time permanently,” chief sporting officer Olivier Renard said. “He showed great things with us last season and his return will add to the competition within the squad. He will now have the chance to establish himself in Montreal.”
Financial terms of Corbo’s deal were not disclosed.
