North Carolina guard Ian Jackson has entered the transfer portal, several outlets reported Monday.
A five-star recruit in the Class of 2024, Jackson chose the Tar Heels over Kentucky, Arkansas, LSU and Oregon coming out of high school.
He averaged 11.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in 36 games (12 starts) as a freshman, shooting 39.5 percent from 3-point range.
Jackson made 60 3-pointers overall, including 15 games with multiple makes from the arc.
North Carolina went 23-14 (13-7 ACC) in 2024-25 and made the NCAA Tournament, beating San Diego State in the First Four before a loss to Ole Miss in the Round of 64.
The Tar Heels previously lost guard Elliot Cadeau to the transfer portal.
