Germie Bernard will be back in a Crimson Tide uniform for the 2025 season, the Alabama wide receiver told ESPN on Wednesday.
Bernard, who transferred from Washington when coach Kalen DeBoer made the move to Alabama prior to the 2024 season, took a week to consider whether to enter the NFL Draft. He said his decision to return was based on graduating and a belief in what’s being built at Alabama.
“I know with the people coming back and the newcomers coming in, just being able to have this season to be a leader,” Bernard said. “I think we’ll make it really far this year.”
Bernard had a team-leading 50 catches for 794 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games this season.
He had 34 receptions for 419 yards and two touchdowns for the Huskies in 2023, his first in Washington after spending the 2022 season at Michigan State.
