Angel City FC announced contract extensions on Wednesday with sisters Alyssa and Gisele Thompson.
Alyssa, 20, a forward, agreed to a three-year extension and Gisele, 19, a defender, agreed to a two-year extension. The contracts will run through the 2028 season.
Financial terms were not announced.
“Alyssa and Gisele are very important for our club’s future, but also for the success of our league,” ACFC sporting director Mark Parsons said.
“… We are thrilled that they are staying home in L.A. for four more years. Alyssa and Gisele both have world-class potential for both club and country and we look forward to continuing to support their growth and development on and off the pitch.”
Alyssa Thompson has nine goals and nine assists in 53 matches since joining the club in 2023 as the youngest player in NWSL history to be drafted and the first drafted out of high school.
Gisele Thompson joined ACFC in January 2024 and appeared in 16 matches, collecting one assist in 925 minutes on the pitch.
The sisters attended Harvard-Westlake School in the Los Angeles area.
