Colorado Avalanche winger Artturi Lehkonen left the game against the Seattle Kraken in Denver on Thursday after going headfirst into the boards in the second period.
Lehkonen was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Lehkonen was hurt when he was skating deep in the Seattle zone and collided with 6-foot-7 Jamie Oleksiak and hit his helmet on the boards. He remained down for a few minutes but was able to skate to the locker room with help from a trainer and Nathan MacKinnon.
Lehkonen had an assist before being hurt.
