The Atlanta Falcons placed Younghoe Koo on injured reserve Wednesday and signed fellow kicker Riley Patterson to the active roster off the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad.
Falcons coach Raheem Morris acknowledged that Koo aggravated an undisclosed injury while misfiring on a 42-yard field goal attempt during the fourth quarter of Monday’s 15-9 victory over the host Las Vegas Raiders.
Koo landed on the injury report weeks ago with a right hip issue.
Koo, 30, has made just 25 of 34 field-goal attempts this season and all 26 of his extra-point tries.
A Pro Bowl pick in 2020, Koo has made 86.1 percent of his field-goal attempts in his career and 173 of 180 PATs.
Patterson, 25, made his lone kick — an extra point — during the Browns’ 21-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.
He has made 88.1 percent of his field goals in 41 career games with the Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Jets and Browns.
