The Nashville Predators announced Sunday that forward Cole Smith will miss three to six weeks with an upper-body injury and captain Roman Josi has been placed on injured reserve.
Josi is considered week-to-week with an upper-body injury. He last played on Oct. 23.
Smith sustained his injury during Nashville’s 4-2 victory over the Calgary Flames on Saturday.
He has three goals for his lone points in 13 games this season.
Smith, 30, has 55 points (20 goals, 35 assists) in 242 career games with the Predators.
Josi, 35, has five points (one goal, four assists) and a minus-4 rating in eight games this season.
The Norris Trophy recipient in 2020 as the NHL’s top defenseman, Josi has totaled 729 points (191 goals, 538 assists) and a plus-55 rating in 970 career games with the Predators. He was selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2008 NHL Draft.
