The San Francisco 49ers informed defensive tackle Javon Hargrave that he will be released on the first day of the new league year next week, ESPN reported on Thursday.
Hargrave, 32, will test free agency after being cut on Wednesday.
He missed the last 14 games of the 2024 season with a torn right triceps.
A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Hargrave has 380 tackles and 45.5 sacks in 130 career games (115 starts) with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2016-19), Philadelphia Eagles (2020-22) and 49ers.
