The Denver Broncos informed safety Caden Sterns they plan to release him, NFL Network reported Monday.
A fifth-round pick in 2021, Sterns missed most of 2023 after tearing a patellar tendon in the season opener.
Sterns registered four interceptions, two sacks and 49 tackles in 21 games (five starts) with the Broncos.
Denver’s depth chart at safety includes Brandon Jones, P.J. Locke and 2023 sixth-round pick JL Skinner.
