Pittsburgh Steelers rookie offensive tackle Troy Fautanu sustained a knee injury during the team’s preseason game against the Houston Texans on Friday.
Fautanu, the 20th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Washington, was spotted wearing a brace around his left knee after the Steelers’ 20-12 loss.
Coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that the team would know more on the severity of the injury on Sunday when it returns to practice.
Fautanu, 23, was selected to the All-Pac-12 Conference First Team in 2023, starting all 15 games at left tackle. He also won the Morris Trophy as the top offensive lineman in the league.
