The Houston Texans placed safety Jalen Pitre on injured reserve Friday with a chest injury, officially ending his season.
Pitre, 25, will undergo surgery to repair a partially torn pectoral muscle, an injury sustained in a loss to the Tennessee Titans on Nov. 24.
He registered 65 tackles, eight passes defensed, one interception and one forced fumble in 12 starts this season.
A second-round draft pick in 2022, Pitre has 296 tackles and six picks in 44 games (all starts) with the Texans.
