UConn star Azzi Fudd is sidelined indefinitely after reinjuring her right knee in Sunday’s win against Georgetown.
The program said Friday there is no timeline for the return of the sophomore guard, who missed more than five weeks after her original injury on Dec. 4.
The fifth-ranked Huskies (16-2, 9-0 Big East) lost reigning national player of the year Paige Bueckers to a preseason knee injury.
The 65-50 win against the Hoyas was Fudd’s second game back in the lineup. She scored 14 points in 20 minutes in a Jan. 11 win at St. John’s before finishing with three points in 12 minutes against Georgetown.
For the season, Fudd is averaging 17.9 points on 53.4 percent shooting, including 43.4 percent from 3-point range, to go along with 2.2 assists and 1.2 steals in nine games.
