Tom Brady is the oddsmakers’ pick to win off the tee box when Tiger-Phil II — being called The Match: Champions for Charity — takes place on Sunday.
As of Monday, 70 percent of betting handle taken on the longest drive during the event were placed on Brady, DraftKings said.
Tiger Woods is paired with Peyton Manning and Phil Mickelson is Brady’s playing partner. Woods and Manning are -225 favorite at DraftKings, PlaySugarHouse and PointsBet.
Caesars opened with Woods-Manning as -175 favorites. But 54 percent of total bets — 47 percent of the handle — placed at DraftKings are leaning Mickelson-Brady.
A whopping 89 percent of the DraftKings handle thus far is on Woods and Manning to win the back nine.
The Match will be televised and staged at Woods’ home course, Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla. The PGA Tour is on hiatus until June 11, when the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial is scheduled to begin in Texas.
WarnerMedia and the four golfers have pledged a combined $10 million to COVID-19 relief.
The longest drive bet offered by DraftKings focuses on the third hole at Woods’ home course.
Brady, who is an 8 handicap — Manning is a 3.5 — could be inclined to swing from his ankles on the 549-yard third hole considering the front nine is being played in a Four Ball (best ball) format.
Mickelson averaged 301.1 yards — ranking 76th on Tour — this season in PGA events. He is second-favorite to Brady, taking in 19 percent of the handle for longest drive.
In 2014, Brady played a round with Jordan Spieth at Trump National. Spieth was highly complimentary of Brady’s game. Manning shot 77 at Augusta National, while Brady broke 80 and has wins over two former U.S. presidents listed among his most noteworthy accomplishments on the course (George W. Bush, Bill Clinton).
Both players have multiple holes-in-win to their credit.
Forty-five percent of the DK handle and 35 percent of bets are on Mickelson to be closest to the pin on the par-3 eighth.
