The New York Red Bulls announced the transfer of midfielder Luquinhas to Brazil’s Fortaleza EC on Friday.
The 27-year-old Brazilian tallied eight goals and seven assists in 56 matches (44 starts) with NYRB from 2022-23.
“We want to thank Luquinhas for his dedication and contributions to our club for the last two years,” Red Bulls head of sport Jochen Schneider said. “Luquinhas was a great representative of our club, and we wish him and his family all the best in this next step.”
Before coming to MLS, Luquinhas played professionally in Poland (Legia Warsaw) and Portugal (Vilafranquense, Aves and Benfica).
