Colorado Rockies catcher Elias Diaz was activated from the 10-day injured list on Sunday after missing nearly three weeks with a strained left calf.
Diaz, 33, who made his first All-Star team last season, is hitting .303 with five home runs and 28 RBIs in 55 games this season.
Diaz is batting fifth as the designated hitter on Sunday against the host Chicago White Sox.
In a corresponding move, the Rockies designated infielder Elehuris Montero for assignment.
In 10 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates (2015-19) and Rockies, Diaz is a .254 hitter with 61 homers and 286 RBIs in 683 games.
