St. Louis City signed veteran defender Josh Yaro to a contract extension through the 2025 MLS season.
The deal announced Thursday for the 29-year-old Ghana international includes an option for 2026.
Yaro has one goal in 29 matches (16 starts) since joining St. Louis City ahead of the 2023 campaign.
“Josh has been a positive influence on the organization since he arrived and we are happy to sign him to a new contract,” sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said in a news release. “We are confident he will continue to be that positive influence, both on and off the field.”
Drafted No. 2 overall by Philadelphia in 2016, Yaro played in 23 matches (19 starts) for the Union from 2016-17.
