Forward Alan Pulido is returning to his native Mexico after five years with Sporting Kansas City.
The MLS club announced his transfer to Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara on Tuesday night.
The transfer fee was not disclosed for Pulido, 33, who arrived from Chivas in 2020 for a Sporting KC-record $9.5 million fee.
Pulido registered 35 goals and 16 assists in 92 MLS matches (74 starts) for SKC. He missed the 2022 season with a knee injury and was named the MLS Comeback Player of the Year in 2023 with 14 goals.
His departure opens a designated player spot on the Kansas City roster for the 2025 season, which opens on Feb. 22 at Austin FC.
