The Denver Broncos activated running back Tyler Badie from injured reserve on Saturday, one day before the team’s AFC wild-card game against the Buffalo Bills.
Badie sustained a back injury against the New York Jets on Sept. 29. He took a hit from Jets linebacker Quincy Williams and left the game. A short time later, he was seen lying down on the sideline with the Denver medical personnel strapping him onto a board.
Badie, 24, rushed for 86 yards on 11 carries in three games this season prior to the injury.
Denver also placed offensive tackle Frank Crum (illness) on the non-football injury list and elevated guard Nick Gargiulo from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
