Pinch hitter Wilmer Flores stroked a go-ahead two-run double, Logan Webb threw seven innings of one-run ball and the San Francisco Giants salvaged one win in their three-game home series against the Cleveland Guardians with a 2-1 triumph Thursday afternoon.

Webb (7-5) combined with Randy Rodriguez and Camilo Doval on a seven-hitter, allowing the Giants to snap a four-game losing streak that had equaled their longest of the season.

After getting just two hits off Guardians starter Gavin Williams over six innings, the Giants got to the Cleveland bullpen in the seventh when Casey Schmitt singled and Jung Hoo Lee walked against Matt Festa (1-1).

After Patrick Bailey sacrificed the baserunners into scoring position, Nic Enright was brought on to face Flores, who laced his double down the third base line, giving the Giants the lead for good.

Flores, the Giants’ runaway leader in RBIs with 53, was coming off the bench for the second time in three games after having handed off his DH role to Rafael Devers, acquired Sunday from the Boston Red Sox. Flores started Wednesday’s loss at first base.

Devers, completing his first series for San Francisco, singled and walked in four plate appearances. He went 3-for-11 against the Guardians.

Webb was pulled upon the Giants getting the lead, having allowed one run and seven hits. He struck out nine without issuing a walk.

Rodriguez struck out two in a 1-2-3 eighth before Doval needed just 11 pitches to record his 11th save with a scoreless ninth.

Schmitt had a pair of singles to account for two of the Giants’ five hits. Flores’ double was the club’s only extra-base hit of the game.

Cleveland’s only run came in the third when Carlos Santana singled with two outs to score Steven Kwan, who had singled.

Angel Martinez doubled twice and Kwan collected three singles for the Guardians, who fell to 2-4 on their nine-game Western swing that continues Friday with their first visit to West Sacramento to take on the Athletics.

Williams didn’t get a decision after working six shutout innings. He walked three and struck out six.
