The New York Liberty will induct four-time All-Star Tari Phillips into the franchise’s Ring of Honor on Sunday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2 forward played for New York from 2000-03, reaching the WNBA Finals in 2000 and 2002.

Phillips, 55, will become the eighth inductee in the Ring of Honor — and first since 2021 — at halftime of the game against the league-leading Minnesota Lynx at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Phillips averaged 13.0 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 141 games (138 starts) with the Liberty. She still ranks second in team history in rebounds (1,077), fifth in steals (235) and ninth in points (1,826).

She was named the league’s Most Improved Player in 2000 and made the All-WNBA second team in 2002.

A first-round pick (eighth overall) by the Orlando Miracle in 1999, Phillips averaged 9.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 232 career games (141 starts) with Orlando, New York and Houston.
