Team Falcons successfully defended their title and collected $7 million in capturing the Club Championship of Esports World Cup 2025 on Sunday in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia.

The Saudi Arabian club entered the most events of the 25 tournaments over seven weeks in Riyadh, won one event (Overwatch 2) and earned two second-place and two third-place finishes.

Team Falcons finished with 5,200 points to edge Team Liquid (4,200) and Team Vitality (4,050). Twisted Minds (3,200) and Virtus.pro (3,200) rounded out the top five of the Club Championship standings.

EWC 2025 featured more than 2,000 players from 100 countries competing for 200 clubs. The total prize pool was more than $70 million, including $27 million for the Club Championship to the top 24 finishers.

Teams competed for prize money and club points in each tournament. Club points were then applied to the overall Club Championship standings, with the team finishing atop the standings being crowned Esports World Cup champion.

The 25 tournaments included: Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Call of Duty: Warzone, Chess, Counter-Strike 2, Crossfire, Dota 2, EA FC 25, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, League of Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Overwatch 2, PUBG MOBILE, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Rainbow Six Siege X, RENNSPORT, Rocket League, Starcraft 2, Street Fighter 6, Teamfight Tactics, Tekken 8 and Valorant.

“The Esports World Cup has once again raised the bar, showing that it stands among the largest sports properties in the world,” Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, said in a news release. “2025 wasn’t just about more games, more clubs, or even a record $70+ million prize pool: it was about purpose. From players chasing their dreams to clubs building sustainable futures, from publishers reaching new audiences to fans rallying on a global stage, the EWC is delivering real impact.

“Team Falcons embodied that spirit with consistency and fire across so many titles,” Reichert continued. “After just two years, the Esports World Cup is no longer a bold idea; it’s the foundation of a global sport. And in 2026, we’ll take it even further, together.”

According to the foundation, the EWC 2025 set viewership records in its second year, recording 750 million viewers — with a peak of 7.98 million viewers during Gen.G Esports’ victory in Week 2’s League of Legends tournament — and 350 million hours watched, outperforming 2024’s inaugural event across the board.

The third edition of the Esports World Cup is scheduled for July 6 to Aug. 23, 2026 in Riyadh.
