Drew Allar completed 19 of 33 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns, and Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton each rushed for a touchdown to lead second-ranked Penn State to a 34-0 victory over Florida International on Saturday at University Park, Pa.

Khalil Dinkins and Devonte Ross each caught a touchdown pass, and Ryan Barker made two field goals.

Allen carried the ball 16 times for 144 yards. His touchdown came on a 67-yard run with 3:29 to play. Singleton gained 76 yards on 13 carries; he scored on a 5-yard run with 1:19 left.

Penn State’s Luke Reynolds added seven receptions for 58 yards.

The Nittany Lions (2-0) controlled the game from the start. They led 7-0 after one quarter, 10-0 at halftime and 20-0 entering the fourth.

FIU (1-1) turned the ball over twice and was limited to 149 passing yards. The Panthers were 6 of 18 on third down.

Kejon Owens led the FIU rushing attack with 78 yards on 15 carries.

The scoring began when Allar connected with Dinkins for a 9-yard touchdown pass with 3:54 remaining in the first quarter. The TD capped a 10-play, 87-yard drive.

Penn State increased its lead to 10-0 when Barker made a 41-yard field goal with 50 seconds left in the first half.

According to the Big Ten Network, the 10 points were the fewest Penn State has scored in the first half of a nonconference home game since a 2019 contest against Pittsburgh.

Penn State doubled its lead in the third quarter. Barker’s second field goal was from 34 yards away and put the Nittany Lions up 13-0 with 9:56 to play in the third. Then, Allar tossed a 42-yard TD pass to Ross that helped make it 20-0 with 4:44 left in the quarter.

The Nittany Lions added rushing TDs by Allen and Singleton in the final four minutes.

Penn State linebacker Tony Rojas recorded a game-high 10 tackles (six solo).
